Approach:
Quantative Predictions are essential when dealing with a problem
Implementation is the key
Playtester is the best gamedesigner
At any point of production you should be able to make a rough prediction, which amount of stuff at which point will be ready, if you are not doing that, you are not taking the problem seriously
You can have a really cool idea.
But the only thing that does and will ever matter is the way you will implement it
As good as you can be at solving problems as the designer. Many many problems will only reveal themselves during the playtests
